ralph

Be sick, throw up, vomit: I think I'm going to ralph.

Contributor's comments: Also used in Adelaide in 70s and 80s. Also chunder, spew, chuck. We also had a charming way of pretending to vomit in mid sentence in place of any of these words.

Contributor's comments: This term is well known throughout southeasten Queensland.

Contributor's comments: I've never heard anyone say "I'm going to ralph", but often use and hear others use, "She's speaking to Ralph on the porcelain telephone" (referring of course to throwing up in the toilet).

Contributor's comments: Also used in Perth. I have a friend nicknamed Ralph for this reason.
