Contributor's comments: Cracker Night was Guy Fawkes (bonfire) night in Victoria after the legendary attempt by Fawkes to blow up Pommy Houses of Parliment.
Contributor's comments: Cracker Night around Rocky was 5 November (Guy Fawkes) and celebrated in a big way on that date and well before the day we would blow things up and have cracker fights etc. John Williamson has it right in his song.
