In SA seems to be "cut the grass", but in Victoria we "mow the lawn": I will have to mow the lawn on Saturday, but you'll have to cut the grass.
Contributor's comments: I grow up in Central SA and Adelaide and I've used cut the grass interchangably with mow the lawn. It is only in NSW where anyone sounded confused by the statement!
