mountain oyster
A term used to describe the discarded testicle of a castrated bull calf. The 'mountain oyster' was known to have been nice in a basic butter sauce. But generally is used in context of humour: 'Mountain oyster's for dinner', or jokingly as the working dogs slink away with the discarded testicles 'the Dog's having mountain oysters for tea'. Compare prairie oyster.
