In the 1980's the Vic Police use to have yellow highway patrol cars. These cars were also special ops & chaser patrol cars: "Got pulled over doin 100 in an 80 zone by a Candy Car", "Bastards!"
Contributor's comments: In the 80's SA Police used to use a white coloured Holden that had a reflective orange and blue stripe similar to a stick of candy down the sides.
