broady

To make your vehicle do a broadside sweep, i.e., the back of the vehicle (usually a bicycle) swings around: Do a broady. Also, broadie.

Contributor's comments: Similiar meaning as broggie. A variation on a theme. I remember hearing the term as a kid, growing up in the Great Southern and Wheatbelt regions of WA in the late 60s early 70s, and doing same, on my bike, in the gravel next to our house. I think the term stems from 'Broadside' as you often ended up with the bike at about 45 degrees to you at the end.

Contributor's comments: I grew up in the 50's and 60's in the south of WA and we deffinately used this word.

Contributor's comments: Used in the ACT when I was growing up in the 70s with the same meaning. Often used in the phrase "chuck a broady".
