fenackapants

term of endearment (to a child): Come here fennackapants. Also, fennackapan.

Contributor's comments: As a child during the 1940's and 50's in Sydney's inner west if one was asked a question one couldn't answer the one who asked the question was told to "Ask fennackapants".

Contributor's comments: I heard this in Melbourne in the 50s and 60s.

Contributor's comments: Browsing your website, I was amazed to see fanackerpan. I've never seen it spelt before, only spoken. My dad used it to us as children. He was born in 1906 and brought up in middle class London, so I am amazed it's considered to be an Australian colloquialism.
