Contributor's comments: This was at least recognised at Hurlstone Ag. High School (Sydney) in the 60's. I think we used 'daygo' as well.
Contributor's comments: We used this term for day scholars at our Melbourne boarding school (for girls).
Contributor's comments: Definitely used to refer to day students when I was at Boarding School in Charters Towers.
