Small fish caught at the top of St.Vincents Gulf. Very bony - too bony to eat: Didn't catch any decent fish, just shitties.
Contributor's comments: We used this term for Trumpeters which we commonly caught at Port Germein. Their stomach had a black lining which may account for the term. They were generally discarded on the jetty but were edible.
Contributor's comments: Term used in Port Pirie in 1980's and may have been used in West Coast of Eyre Peninsula.
