Contributor's comments: My father, a teacher in Victoria, often used spifflicate in a jocular way, so I (also a teacher) use it in the same way. eg If you do that again, I'll spifflicate you. What does that mean? Wait till I do it and you will find out. Needless to say no one has ever found out, although once I was given a spifflicating stick - which caused a lot of merriment.
